This was found on auction horses this morning -- posted by Brenda Patton-Coombs Im taking this Thread OUT OFF MY SISTERS HANDS....Shes afraid that people will ridicule her..BUT here is the story for everyone to know !!!!! The Day she states we had some set backs was because we had a trainer to come out to evaluate her before my sister would even think about getting on her and THIS IS WHAT happened.. Baby had a 3-5 minute Ride ride during this she buck.. kicked..and was TO HOT under the saddle, even with this attitude our trainer was going to take her and give her a home and give my sister a new horse..BUT WITHIN 5 minutes of dismount on first ride in our possession her HOCK was TRIPLE the size... yes SHE WAS sold LAME!!!If you go back and look at her pictures you can see this from when she first arrived at KP ..If you would like to see the pictures I have every picture from Auction Horse.net and PLUS the pictures of after this ride....BUT now...she is consist kicking, making it very very dangerous to go into round pen and work with our other horses, and to TOP IT OFF as my trainer came in last night to catch one of my other horses with her experience son , baby came between Kallie and charged her son , then turned and kicked him..Debs Husband called Donny this MORNING, and was INFORMED Bought as is..even though Sabrina stated The kicking was a deal breaker and Would REFUND HE $450.00 ..But now it is..You GOT What you Paid FOR and NO REFUND.....THIS HORSE IS DANGEROUS AND SHE WILL BE DISPOSED OF IN 3 DAYS..IF ANYONE WANTS TO COME SAVE HER COME GET HER!!!!!! ----- Please folks know that if you buy the horse from a feed lot or from auction , you get a horse you do not know much history on most of the time or the information you get is false. Auction Yards, Horse brokers, Meat buyers are in the job to make money, to pay their bills , to feed their families. Some of them do not care at all if they sell you a lame or dangerous horse, they care about making money. I know some very honest auction workers that I fully trust, I have some respect from some of the horse brokers but if you are buying a horse off a feed lot to save it from slaughter, it may mean you get a horse you will have to put down (still better than slaughter) ,, Your horse has been exposed to what ever has been on the feed lot and you are bank rolling more horses to be shipped to slaughter. Guess what I have seen many of the feed lot horses not be what they are said to be -- Feed lot saving of horses is killing good rescues because no one wants to adopt a horse that has been brought up to date on shots, wormer, farrier, that has been handled by experienced handlers: for often less than the feed lot price for a horse that is going to need all those things. This horse is clearly back in danger, has endangered people and it sounds like it will be put down now after again lining the pocket of the feed lot owner. :( Rescuing horses is a big job and you have to be willing to take the horse where the horse is , not where your romantic mind has placed it :( I am sorry to all involved in this :( If you want to save a horse , save it from its home, Save it from auction!!! Come bid with us or better yet Adopt from a rescue!!!!
