This was me for many, many years. Then I finally had enough with the lying and cheating so I took my son and left. Almost been a year now and though its been hard as hell and its not over yet, Im glad I finally got the strength to do what needed to be done. And its my favorite bands that help me get through it all. This song is about, without getting specific; the ability to walk away from a situation you know is septic. So many people in the world would rather stay in a situation that’s painful but familiar because they’re comfortable with it. Not a lot of people have the strength or heart to realize when something’s not good for them and to turn around and be alone. - Corey Taylor
