This was my blue rex Marlin. He passed away two days ago, he had a tumor that weighed two pounds and they couldnt do surgery because his heart was enlarged by this point. It was a very aggressive tumor, it was first noticed as a small growth in December but within the first two weeks of January it just took over his little body and our hearts are just broken, if we would have known it was so aggressive we would have scheduled surgery sooner. We unfortunately had him euthanized to end his suffering, he was a few days shy of being 13 months old. He had such a silly personality and he always wanted attention and unlike my past rats he never grew tired of attention, he actually would open his cage at night to come wake me up after hours of non stop holding and petting and playing, he just wanted to be held like a baby 24/7.
