This was on this mornings announcement email from Westside. They (GSA) can meet on school property as a non-school sanctioned community organization just the same as a Bible or Christian Club can. The announcement goes beyond just failing to mention this is non-school sponsored, it is the school (government) preaching gay philosophy and is no different than saying Come to Christian Club and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Savior ( Note:Westside is a high school in Omaha, Nebraska) The email: (Westside High officially promotes Coming Out Day.) *** National Coming Out Day: Please join GSA today, in celebrating National Coming Out Day Thursday, October 9. National Coming Out Day of 2014 marks the twenty-seventh anniversary of when half a million people participated in the March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights (The History of Coming Out). GSA members will be handing out rainbow ribbons and stickers at a table by the cafeteria to promote a safe world for LGBT individuals to live truthfully and openly (The History of Coming Out). By wearing a rainbow ribbon sticker, you are showing your support for those who have come out and those who feel unsafe as to declare their right to be themselves.
