This was the first really big response we were involved in, made all the more traumatic because we had close friends in the Marines Band and one ( and not forgetting his wife) in particular. Hard to believe it is 25 years ago ! The mobile canteen did about 30 miles per hour flat out (and the A2 was not as it is today!). The mobile had few mod cons, but as always, it was the opportunity to draw alongside people that was important......and there was plenty of opportunity for that! Thoughts and prayers with all those remembering loved ones, those who miraculously survived and the police teams who worked tirelessly and respectfully, as the sifted through the rubble.
