This week has had its challenges, but as always God has seen us - TopicsExpress

This week has had its challenges, but as always God has seen us through. We did not travel north for the funeral this weekend as Mary had a port put in on Wednesday and she was very sore and wiped out from it. Her dentist appointment was postponed to this coming Tuesday as she needs some bridge work and Sierra will be getting a crown. Wednesday she has an appointment for an ophthalmology exam. On February 2nd she has another MRI, then on the 4th, I believe, she goes back to the oncologist. At that time we will find out if we can take her off steroids and if we need to change her chemo treatment. We should also learn more about the area of interest on her frontal lobe. God has surely been providing for us in many ways. Financially we have been able to pay for all procedures to date, but funds are starting to tighten up significantly. Emory blew me away when they told me they wanted over $30,000.00 for the port placement and offered a discount bringing it down to only just under $24,000.00. I told them there was no way I can pay for that and we negotiated a price of $3,750.00. Still a lot of money to come out of our pockets, but a whole lot better. With the upcoming MRI and appointments, the next couple weeks will be costly. To top it all off, we fund out that the Acura needs another $900.00 worth of work. It would be no big deal and we would park it except we need the extra car for Sharon to get to college when Mike is working and we are making appointments and doing what we need to do. AS you pray for us, please pray for all of the above. We will keep moving forward and keep trusting God for His provision. In addition pray for me as I continue my online classes and pray for wisdom for us as we have to make decisions going forward. I have not pressed real hard on the online fundraiser as we received more funding through another source the day after I set it up, but as finances tighten up and potentially dry up, please remember us by praying and by sharing the fundraiser and inviting people in your groups to go to the fundraiser as well. I do not know what God will do through the fundraiser or any other efforts, but I do know He has brought us this far. He will see us through and you are all a part of that. Thank you all and may God bless you. Our prayers go out to families who recently lost loved ones and to other families like ours who are in a battle for the life of a loved one. Please, no matter what your situation, Grab on to God, cling to Him and dont let go. Trust Him even when it seems impossible. In the end you will see where He has been working and be able to praise Him for all he has shown you and done in the midst of your storm. To God be the glory, Great things He has done and will do!!!
