This week we talk about... DARK RED The dark red symbolizes power, its the color which is associated with vitality and ambition. This color instills self-confidence and courage, but it can also represent a negative feeling or a feeling of anger. If we are surrounded by too much dark red color, we can absorb negative influences, be irritable, impatient and nonconformists. The purple color in ancient times represented the power, the high dignity and the wealth and it was tied to the idea of sovereignty, perhaps because it had a high cost of production. According to tradition dark red is a symbol of official powers ( the toga of the Roman Empire, the toga of judges ) and these spiritual ( as the Cardinal clothing). The dark red is deeper and more sensual than classic red. It s the perfect color to give a tone of importance to the house : if this color is not too lit, its suitable for living, where we spend most of our days , carrying out our activities and getting our guests. The dark colors are too bright for the interiors dedicated to sleep and rest. The dark red matches well with colors like gold, blue, white and green.
