This weekend I had the pleasure of being part of a beautiful ceremony. The wedding of my niece and godchild Carly Duet to Brandon Allemand!! It seems like this wedding planning had been going on for years, yet Friday night went by in a flash!!! Everything went well, and the Cut Off Youth Center looked awesome (thanks to Pam S. Hebert)! Of course, my godchild was an absolute beauty, and her soon to be husband was very handsome! Our entire Blanchard family welcomed the Allemand family with open arms. Im pretty sure everyone that attended had a grand time! Of course at times during the night, we did reflect on those that werent there with us to attend: my nephew Alec (due to him being in the Navy), my dad (whom would have loved being there to witness the first grandchild to walk down the aisle), and of course my sweet Joey. My sisters, brother, and I even did the robot in honor of our dad (something my dad would do for us every summer at the camp)! Many times during the night someone would say I wonder what Joey and your dad would be doing and/or saying at this time! I think I know the answer-they both would have a big smile on their faces saying that they are having the time of their lives!!!! A kiss to the heavens………………….
