This weekend was one of the hardest of my life. I had to say good bye to my best friend and companion of 13 years. She was the protector of my children, the only being that I could talk to or count on to curl up next to me during some of the rough times, the spunkiest puppy, and most loving lady ever. When I first took you home, I had no idea how much you would change my life, capacity to love and care for another. My Cleopatra is gone to race with the doggies in heaven where she feels no more pain, can see clearly, and can run fast again. She has been such a dear friend and family member and although I keep looking around to find her, thinking I hear her collar jingling, or remembering it is time for her medicine, I am trying to find comfort in the thought of her pain free and looking down on us. It is amazing how much love with can feel for our pets and how much a part of our family they become. We are missing you terribly Cleopatra! Run, Swim, Chase, Eat, and Enjoy each wonderful day above us. You will forever be a part of our family.
