This will be my only serious post ever, I promise.Is our society not mature enough to stop holding political debates in the fashion of a high school debate? I cant help but think that this is just a platform to advance the illusion that there is actual discourse happening in our country. When all I can see is a classroom full of pissy children who seem hellbent on quibbling over personally polarizing talking points, it becomes difficult for me to continue having faith in prospect of everything working out. If we let the media tell us which side we should be on we have failed ourselves as higher thinking beings. Stop letting Your particular camp tell you what you should be pissed about this week. Ask the leaders on both sides why they have not fixed the things we universally agree need to be fixed.
