This will be the final week of this page. I have enjoyed hosting The Romance of Football, but I think its time for something different. One day I hope to write a book on Underdogs in Sport, a theme that fascinates me. Nowadays its all about winners, but where there are winners there are also more losers. The underdog usually is an athlete or a team that has no chance of winning, simply because there is nothing like equal opportunities in sport. The page will be an ode to those athletes and teams. Of coyurse occasionally an underdog beats the favourite. Thats the best of it all. I hope you have enjoyed The Romance of Football and will invite you all to join Underdogs in Sport.
