This will probably be one of the last things I have to say on the Palestine issue. It’ll be long, and whether or not you read it is your choice. This is what I believe, and I am not sorry for any of it. Bismillah. The Palestinian cause has always been, and will always be, a Muslim issue. When the land that all the Prophets set foot upon, the land that houses the third holiest mosque in Islam, and the land that Allah placed his Baraka (blessings) in is under attack, it should rouse every Muslim. HOWEVER, I am in no way saying it is a cause unique to Muslims. On the contrary, Palestine is a cause for everyone brave enough to voice their anger and disbelief against the killings of children, women, elderly, and physically disabled, against the blockading of the most densely populated strip on Earth so that if it’s people aren’t killed by bombs they’ll die of starvation or lack of medical attention/supplies, against a form of injustice so cruel half the world is still not sure if such a lack of humanity is possible. Allah (swt) says in Surah Al-Hajj, Aya 39 : Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. Is there anyone left out there who can argue what’s happening to Gaza is right? Allah has promised them victory, and it will be theirs Inshallah. Martyrs are HAND-PICKED by Allah. Every single martyr has been chosen by Allah to return to him in such an honorable way. These people are dying as MARTYRS, in RAMADAN, in the LAST TEN DAYS. I think that should provide us all with a sufficient image of who the people of Gaza are, the courage they embody, and the Iman that swells within them mashallah. Finally, let it be known to Israel that however many people they kill, however many homes they destroy, however many wars they start, they will not be truly victorious until the hearts of EVERY last Palestinian on this Earth stop beating. Because until then, we will fight for our right to return. Till then, I will live off the stories my grandma tells me of the home we had in Jerusalem, and the lands we had in Yafa, and I will dream of praying Taraweeh in Al-Aqsa. Palestine, you are in our prayers, and we will forever be chanting, “FROM THE LAND TO THE SEA PALESTINE WILL BE FREE.” Stay strong.
