This wind animation from #MeteoEarth displays the complex low - TopicsExpress

This wind animation from #MeteoEarth displays the complex low pressure system now developing in the North Pacific and the large scale cyclonic flow (counter clockwise movement of wind) associated with it. The individual lows embedded in this large scale flow are marked with an ‘L’. This pattern is setting up a prolonged period of medium to locally solid surf for both Hawaii and the US West Coast over the next week+. Also of note: the very light wind regime that the islands will be in, with periods of light Kona flow. California will be under the influence of high pressure most of this work week, with a warming trend through Wed/Thur and light wind. One last thing: California will see another baby south swell for the end of the work week, which will very occasionally cross up the larger WNW swell that we expect at that time for some fun peaks at the beachbreaks. -- @kwallissurfline #SurflineForecast #SeeYouInTheWater
