This year, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day are only 16 days apart. What a perfect time in the days between these holidays to host an event to honor a select group of Americas Special Forces. Combat Warriors, Inc., was formed to honor and support, financially and emotionally, the commitment and courage of our combat veterans. In what has become an annual event, this years group of young men gathered a few days ago at the Double-S Ranch. Unlike what might be expected from the movies, their demeanor is quiet, humble, but dedicated and purposeful, with none of the drama and bravado some might speculate. A great many individuals, businesses, and public officials from NE Texas pulled together to make this event possible. All felt privileged to do so. Each of these soldiers has made incredible personal sacrifices for our nation, and all are owed a debt of gratitude and ongoing honor and respect.
