This year has been an interesting one. Cant lie and say Im not glad its over. In 2014 we had car trouble, money trouble, and stress to the ears. I had to watch my family deal with huge setbacks, watched my dad struggle through the process of healing after a freak accident. We lost a very special part of our family when a great person died way too young. That loss alone is enough to say *uck 2014. Its so easy to concentrate on the bad things when reviewing the year... And yet, so many wonderful things happened too. We got our puppy in January, who has filled our life with love and kisses. We went on an epic road trip to visit our friends in the northeast, creating new friendships and lasting memories. I became much closer to some great friends at my job, which allow work to be more fun than ever! We welcomed two awesome new people into our little friend/family, John and Danelle, who have completed our circle brilliantly. That friend circle became a pivotal support system and we had more fun and grew closer than ever this year :). I was honored to be asked to be a bridesmaid, and enjoyed watching two great people join in marriage. I got to watch my brother grow and blossom into a proud and responsible young man, ready to take on the world after graduation. Though it was tragedy that ultimately brought us closer, I am happy to say that Ive created a new and better balance and understanding with a very important woman in Eli & Claras lives. And speaking of those kids, I got to watch Eli perform in his first real choir concert, which brought back awesome memories of my own time in the choir. We laughed a lot, cried a lot, and loved like always. I think this year could have been better, but without awful experiences, how can any of us truly enjoy the sweet ones? Im looking forward to seeing what 2015 has to offer. I know well be ready for anything life can throw at us :)
