This years Deep in the Art of Texas Photo Shoot is drawing near and there are a few things that need to be addressed before that day comes. Lets work together to make this the best year yet. We will need your help getting this word out to everyone interested in the photo shoot. This shoot is for the artists/photographers, but without the cooperation of the models, we wouldnt have a shoot. We can always use new models! *First, this is a CLOSED SET. What that means is it is by Invitation only by the Prine family; no one else can invite you to this event. Please keep in mind, photographers and artists are invited and pay a fee to join this photo shoot. People that come because it is really fun to watch and be apart of and are not officially invited will not be permitted. This goes for anyone: guests, photographers, artists, models, family members of any of the listed, etc. It is a business and not an open event. Photography is not permitted unless you are one of the artists/photographers. Families of the participants are welcome but need to follow the rules of the photo shoot. Photography is not permitted unless you are one of the artists/photographers. *Second, models are hand-selected by the Prine family. Please, DO NOT invite someone to come to this shoot. If you have a suggestion for a model, please submit your suggestion to any of the Prines. We will carefully consider them and if we feel they would be an asset to the photo shoot, we will contact and invite them. *Third, our wardrobe at Buck Creek is OUR personal collection. We have been working for many years to collect the authentic items and clothing we own. We will not be able to outfit models unless it is otherwise discussed with us. Do not expect to be outfitted because you think you have the look. We lose items through the years that are irreplaceable. We would appreciate our wardrobe to stay in our collection. You are welcome to ask to borrow an item or clothing for a specific set but remember, these items may be something we were planning on using ourselves. If an artist/photographer would like you to be in something specific, all you have to do is ask. We are always more than happy to meet those needs. *Fourth, April and Joe serve food from their chuck wagon. This is their livelihood. Please support them. If you have a camp and prepare your own meals, that is just fine but please do not cook for an army and share it with half the people on the property. This really hurts April and Joes business. Food sales are exclusively limited to them. You are welcome to eat in town or bring your own. *Fifth, you are not guaranteed to make money as a model, however, the more character changes or outfit changes you have, the better your chances of striking an interest with the artists/photographers. For example, if you are normally a gunfighter, expect to change outfits to meet the wants list of these artists/photographers because they may not want a gunfighter. Be flexible! Things such as footwear or hats are very important. Don’t expect that the artist can just paint it in or out. The reason we put this photo shoot is to provide them with original scenes they don’t have to alter. Also, we have photographers that cannot simply avoid an item that shouldnt be a part of the photo. Help us keep it authentic. *Last, models are tipped for sets they are in. IMPORTANT, keep in mind if you borrow someone else’s horse, wagon, gun, clothes, etc, they bought, feed, care for, trailered and OWN them. Consider that when you make tips because of someone else’s belongings or horse. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We will be more than happy to help.
