Thomas the Tank Engine seems to have particular appeal to kids - TopicsExpress

Thomas the Tank Engine seems to have particular appeal to kids with autism and/or sensory issues. There are many theories. My son Cole had a friend with PDD-NOS and his mother said she noticed that when the two boys played together, her son was beginning to engage in cooperative instead of parallel play, and imaginative instead of cause-and-effect play. Id learned how to get down on the floor with my son and show him how he might animate Thomas and imagine how he might interact with the other trains. The other mom and I found Thomas a fantastic tool for our boys. My husband regularly took Cole to public Thomas tables at toy stores to encourage his play. What are your Thomas the Tank Engine experiences with your son or daughter? --Nancy amazon/gp/product/B009K4E59O/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B009K4E59O&linkCode=as2&tag=nanpes-20&linkId=5O4OH36VFFFFW4OG
