Thomson Local has gone into administration. Their business model is to sell advertising space in a paper directory of residential and commercial telephone numbers. We believe that similar companies will soon be obsolete too. Yellow Pages have launched other products over the years to keep them afloat. Including the useless telephone number that they can provide you so you can monitor call volume. This is a complete waste of time as if they go under or you decide to stop using the service then all your customers will have a dead number. We would not recommend advertising in a phone directory especially if you are a new business. There are plenty more creative and more powerful methods of advertising.
