Those Christians who are still alive will NOT be raptured until ALL the dead in Christ are first resurrected. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent* them which are asleep. (1 Thess. 4:15) *prevent = go ahead of The Bible tells us that the Rapture is a dual event . . . it includes (first) the resurrection of all Christians who have died, then the CHANGING of all Christians who are still living. (See 1 Cor. 15:51-52, and 1 Thess. 4:13-17) Included in this First Resurrection are ALL Christians--including those who would not submit to the Son of Perdition or the Antichrist. (See Rev. 13 where it tells about the beast, his image, and his Mark.) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: **and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which HAD NOT WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, neither his IMAGE, neither had received HIS MARK upon their foreheads, or in their hands**; . . . This is the first resurrection. (Rev. 20:4-5) The only resurrection for Christians is the FIRST Resurrection. (The Second Resurrection is for the wicked.) The First Resurrection includes EVERY dead Christian. The Rapture includes EVERY living Christian. No Christians will die after the First Resurrection/Rapture. Every Christian--alive or dead--will leave Earth at the time of the First Resurrection/Rapture. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The First Resurrection happens AFTER many have died refusing to take the Mark of the Beast or worship him or his image. The time when the Mark of the Beast takes place is called The Tribulation. So this means that the First Resurrection happens AFTER The Tribulation. The Rapture happens IMMEDIATELY AFTER the First Resurrection. Thus these two passages should be taken literally: 1. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (2 Thess. 2:3) That day--the First Resurrection/Rapture--shall not come until there has been a falling away and the Son of Perdition has been revealed (he is revealed during The Tribulation).. And, as Jesus Himself explained: 2. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Jesus, Matt. 24:29-31) There is no pre-Tribulation Rapture.
