Those looking to tube down the Ichnetucknee this Memorial Day - TopicsExpress

Those looking to tube down the Ichnetucknee this Memorial Day weekend will have to adjust their float path due to high river levels and a flow that’s slowed to a crawl. While tubers can start going down the river at the head spring in the state park, they’ll have to get out at Dampiers Landing, about two thirds of the way down the river. Because of the slow river flow, float times will be much longer than usual. Park rangers say floating from the head spring to Dampier’s Landing should take around 4 hours. The rangers also advise that there’ll be a lot of vegetation in the water too because of the flow rate. Check this site for more information: floridastateparks.org/ichetuckneesprings/
