Though our President pushed for extending Medicaid Parity - TopicsExpress

Though our President pushed for extending Medicaid Parity (incentive for Primary Care Physicians to keep taking Medicaid Patients by keeping reimbursement at Medicare levels which is a key provision to the success of the ACA), and though he ultimately signed the Bill to keep Government running, Congress has failed to act now to renew Parity (was not in the Bill) and has dumped it on the new Congress come January. Assuming the GOP continues its distinction as not caring one iota for the Poor, and are very vested in assisting the ACA to fail, I doubt very much the new Congress will renew this. So the GOP has won as this is one of the cornerstones of the new Healthcare Reform. As a result of the GOP purposly trying to sabatoge the ACA, physicians will now no longer accept Medicaid Patients; will likely find a way to discharge them from their care (the ones already taken on) come 2015; and back to the old tired System of using ERs for Primary Care (which is more costly) will resume. Sad state of affairs in this Country. But when someone complains that it is the fault of Obamacare that they cant find a doctor taking Medicaid, please remind them, no, the scarcity of doctors accepting Medicaid is due to the low fees being offered by Medicaid programs and the GOP congresss refusal to re-authorize the Medicaid Parity law which is critical to the ACA success. Lets keep the facts straight!
