Though this happened in 2011, the sense of entitlement to womens time, energy and attention is something I discuss frequently. If these men do not get what they want from women, they act out like toddlers with violence towards the woman they feel hurt their itty bitty wittle feelings by rejecting them. Because THEY want her, she is supposed to respond the way they want her to. This is the same mentality at work when men demand that women on the street smile at them or respond to their cat calls and demand for her phone number. So many black women feel its proper to respond and give them what they want, because they fear this kind of retribution if they dont. Its not that they want to be social to hound dogs on the street - theyre just afraid of what will happen to them if they ignore the fools. Men really need to get their shit together.
