Thought readers may be interested in this. As many will know the Argyll Well which lies next to the conservation reservoir up loch Thom. Been visiting the well as many others have over the years and slowly the brick work etc is fading away due to weather erosion and paintwork thats been added. As an Ex Argyll i thought i would get a project started to hopefully get the well repaired and back to its original state of Aug 1915 for its Centenery next year. I have been in touch with lads from the Scottish Archaeology group in Glasgow who deal with the WW1 Memorials trust to hopefully get a grant for its repair and most importantly have it added to the War Memorials list. The lads paid a visit 2 weeks ago and have submitted a report and hopefully this all comes together. Alan
