Thought this was worth sharing again..This was written Feb. 2, 1946 from my Great grandmother McAtee to my Grandmother Theola Sisco. Heaven I am interested in that land because I have held a title to a bit of property there for the past few years.I did not buy it.It was given to me without money and without price.But, the donor purchased it for me with tremendous sacrifice.It is not a vacant lot. for the past few years I have been sending materials out of which the great architect and builder of the universe has been building a small home for me,this home will only be as large as the materials I send will permit him to build.It will never need to be remodeled or repaired,because it will suit me perfectly and will never grow old.Fire cannot destroy it,floods cannot wash it away.No locks or bolts on the doors,for no vicious person can enter that land where my dwelling stands,now almost ready for me to enter in and abide in peace eternally.There is a valley of deep shadows between where I live in Iowa and that place to which I shall journey in a short time.I cannot reach this glory home without passing through this dark valley,but I am not afraid because my Lord went through this dark valley long ago,and I have his promise,never to forsake me My ticket to heaven has no date marked for the journey,no return coupon.Yes..I am ready to go and may not be here much longer-but pray I meet you there someday.
