Thoughts, Views and Opinions? Dog who bit teen spared death and returned to family June 6, 2014 Penny Eims Dog News Examiner According to AZ Family News, an American bulldog, who was impounded for months after biting a teenager, was returned to his family in Queen Creek, Ariz., on Thursday. Since late-September of last year, Moby has been away from his family. The dog was seized from his owners after he bit a 17-year-old girl on the leg; the teen was a friend of the family and the bite took place while the teens were horsing around. After initially being quarantined, Moby was deemed vicious and then ordered to death. Mobys guardian, Rod Browning, appealed the death sentence and Moby was placed into an area animal control facility where his health quickly deteriorated. Moby was eventually transferred to the AZ Pet Resort and his condition improved. Support for his case grew on Facebook, and Attorney Juliet Piccone of Colorado Animal Attorneys and The Piccone Law Firm, took up the fight to save his life. On Thursday, Mobys family expressed their gratitude via Facebook in a post, which reads in part: The entire Browning family is truly indebted to Juliet Piccone from Piccone Law firm and John Schill from Schill law firm. Without Juliet or John this outcome would not have been possible. Thank you so much for helping Moby. We also want want to thank Michael West and Crystal Arnold of Valley Dogs Rescue. They were both instrumental in getting Moby transferred from MCCAC to Arizona Pet Resort in Tempe, AZ. Moby appears to be happy to be back home; his family posted a photo, along with an update, that he spent a good deal of time in the pool, and then took a nap. By court order, Moby must not have contact with anyone outside of his own family, and he is forbidden from leaving his backyard.
