Thoughts and struggles were going on in my mind Were completely controlling my actions of any kind You were very ill,critical they said Just to save your life was the great job ahead All matters of tubes and machines were put into place When i looked at you,i felt a helplessness i could not face To keep you alive was a great struggle of might The doctors knowledge and Gods love against the devils delight I cried,i was frantic,all this i could not understand. Calm over panic,hope beat out dread We talked,we prayed,and i alarmed myself to the struggle ahead, Watching you become stable filled my heart with joy Then your family became priority,2 girls and a boy As a diagnosis was sought,nothing changed for weeks While family,friends and others prayed,helped and wept Then came a positive report..... we have a specific enemy to fight The medicine had been given,but now the dosage would be right. A week after treatment started,everything seemed to be going good They were now trying to wake you up,as they felt they should, You were alert between naps,you knew all of us and your past Oh joy!!we exalted,Thank God,then a relapse Again you were ill,and spiking a temp, again this disease would not relent. Another tube must be placed,we were told again With another 2 weeks of comma you must contend Your medicine was altered,treatment renewed boldly the enemy was not conquered,it was subdued only. The healing process was again underway the prayers were continued day after day Then again you were awakened,this time at a slower pace You responded with fear as i could see on your face You couldnt talk or write,the questions i could see in your eyes All manner of emotions was shown that you could not disguise Then .... #dailytodailystruggles #tothesickandtheirfamilies #geneticsundaysummon
