Thoughts on Redefining God losing myths by Jerry The Importance of believing a non-violent God My people perish because of lack of knowledge. When man fell he lost with him knowledge of who is God and how God acts. Jesus came to redefine who God is to blind mankind. He does so by revealing Gods nature in his earthly ministry. He revealed to mankind that God is not violent by forgiving his killers at the cross. He encourages us to forgive our enemies,a perfect mimesis for humanity. Our language as mankind was an eye for an eye,we solved our problems and pain through inflicting each other pain. Sin is the negative way we handle our pain and no wonder sin has always been humanitys struggle. When God incarnate walked with mankind he told them to forsake what they know of old and do something new in their belief system. To forgive each other,to treat each other with love thus responding well to their pain. All this shed light to us why we should have a non-violent belief system about our maker and violence will vanish off our lives.
