Three alternative tips (T) to revamping National Planning Commission (NPC/GON) • T1: Merger with Ministry of Finance under a distinct nomenclature such as Ministry of Finance and Planning; • T2: Integration with PMO with a separate but special status under the direct supervision of PM; • T3: Developing a Think-Tank/Wise-men Council comprising experts, specialists and scholars with high level of scholastic and professional contribution to various facets of development to be appointed by the government at the recommendation of an esteemed and distinguished Select Committee set-up by the incumbent Prime Minister; This is also crucial to determine whether Think Tank would be a statutory or recommendatory body.
