Three hours later, as tonights activities of the daunting task of going through packed-away winter clothes for Ryan & Mary comes to an end, I count my blessings & trust that God will provide. As I am faithful to serving Him, He is faithful to meet our needs. Tonight, with a music CD provided by Susan and Cindi playing in the background, I helped Ryan try on shirt after shirt. With each one that didnt fit was tossed into the give away pile, with a genuine smile, I reaffirmed to him, Dont worry about how many that no longer fit, son. God will provide!! and we carried on. After about a two minutes of continued work to music, I looked at Ryans face, and he was beaming---not a silly class clown beam, but one on a deeper level. Wanting him to embrace without fear, I stopped what we were doing, pulling him gently to me, placed my hand on his heart and asked, what do you feel?. He simply looked at me with the most sincere, sweet smile and simply pointed up. I said, I know! I feel Him too!! Thats God you feel in your heart. Isnt that peaceful?! Not a word was spoke, but an embrace captured that moment, as Ryan put his arms around me. I thank God for the presence of the Holy Spirit in my own son, and I rest easy tonight knowing that he recognizes the peace of God~
