Three patrol vessels of the Philippine Navy from the western commands fouth naval district are now art of a major international search effort off of the western coast of the Philippines for a Malaysian airways plane that went down somewhere enroute to Beijing while over the west Philippine sea. A massive ASEAN based search and rescue operation is ongoing. The aircraft was flying from KL enroute to China around 230 passengers and crew on board. All in all the passengers per Malaysian airways were from 14 countries a large number of them from the PRC.
