Three talented and promising Eritrean Cyclists, Meron Teshome, - TopicsExpress

Three talented and promising Eritrean Cyclists, Meron Teshome, Tesfom Okubamichael and Metkel Eyob, after having been cleared to attend the next and most important phase of training in Switzerland are unable to do so because the Swiss authorities in Khartoum have refused to grant them visa. We believe this is wrong and unfair. Eritrean riders are recognized by cycling experts as being competitive and having great potential. The World Cycling Center (WCC) in Aigle, Switzerland is a great school where high performing, gifted riders are given a chance to excel, and achieve their full potential --renowned Eritrean riders such as Daniel Teklehaimanot, Merhawi Kudus, and Natnael Berhane, are testament to this. With this petition, we ask Swiss authorities to do the right thing and grant our cyclists equal visa opportunities as their peers. Eritrean riders deserve fair and equal treatment by WCC. Please put your name and join world-renowned riders like Rui Costa, Matthias Chnapka, Portuguese World track Champion, Ivo Oliveira, Tour Turkey Champion Eritrean Natnael Berhane, Tour Rwanda’s King of The Mountain” Mekseb Debesay and many other professional athletes who agree that this is wrong and have signed the petition for Swiss Embassy to review and rectify its flawed decision. Please Click in the Link Below to Sign Petition: A little reminder – I know some people are not comfortable with filling out their name etc when signing the petition—but you can choose for your name and contact info not to be displayed if you choose to do so…please keep spreading the word, its all for a good cause...thanks. https://change.org/p/embassy-of-switzerland-in-khartoum-give-equal-visa-opportunities-to-eritrean-riders?recruiter=133575100&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition Together, We Can Make a Difference. Thank you. Friends and Supporters of Eritrean Riders
