Three years ago today, we lost an incredibly gifted musician, and an exemplar of the human spirit. My friend Ned Mann, virtuoso acoustic & electric bassist, who toured the world with many musical giants, succumbed to ALS (aka Lou Gehrigs disease) after a brave 10-year battle. I strongly encourage EVERYONE to buy the double-CD that Ned, in his final months, produced, mixed & mastered via computer, using only his eyes (ala another noted ALS victim, physicist Stephen Hawking) Not only is the music brilliant - featuring the talents of Rufus Reid, Randy Brecker, Chuck Loeb, Will Lee, Tim Ries, etc (and myself, on the 2nd disc) - but all proceeds go to the ALS foundation for finding a cure. Great Music + Great Cause = Win-Win...so please buy it! Look for Finding My Way Home - Help Ned Mann Fight ALS, at CDBaby, etc...Thanks, and Carpe Diem :) youtube/watch?v=gHmELPiC-9Q
