Throughout all the centuries men and women have been swarming upon this third planet from a medium sized star in an unbelievably vast universe. This earth has been the scene of wars and bitter fighting, of judgment and mercy, of love and hate. There have been clouds dark with the ugliness of those who have rejected God and bright with the expression of the faithful. Therefore it is right and proper for the Almighty to reveal Himself in awful and wondrous finality to all those who have ever lived their brief time upon this earth. God on that day will make it inescapably apparent to every individual throughout all history the excellence and the righteousness of His sovereign ways! If earth and sky are eclipsed by the revealed Presence of its Creator, human learning or wisdom will not be able to dim the searing light of His manifestation. On that final judgment day the ways of God will no longer be obscure and subject to the frail and finite arguments of humanity against His Person. No love of sin or blinding selfishness will distort the righteous judgment of His sovereign Majesty. In the eternal ages, all creation will in one way or another vindicate the awesome Majesty of the Almighty and glorify Him forever—either in heaven or in hell! “Yours, O LORD (Jehovah), is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours. Yours, O LORD (Jehovah), is the kingdom; You are exalted as Head over all. Wealth and honor come from You; You are the Ruler of all things. In Your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give You thanks, and praise Your glorious Name” (I Chronicles 29:11).
