Throwback! Photo of the original look of the 1931 Art Deco Sariaya Municipio designed by Juan Arellano . . . with part of the 1924 Dr. Jose Rizal monument constructed by the erstwhile locally famous Kapampangan turned prewar Sariayahin monument - furniture - toy maker Mr. Eusebio Cortez, and the grandchildren of erstwhile Sariaya Mayor Sesinando Alcantara Sr. (1946 - 1951) and wife Aniana Palomera in the foreground. Note that it was much smaller then ... there was still no second floor addition as it is nowadays, owing to the need for expansion to accommodate the growing need for more offices due to the demands of a more detailed and pronounced local governance for the steadily growing population of Sariayahin constituents throughout the years . . . This photograph was taken sometime in the early 1970s from the photo album of Mr. Julisses Alcantara Albufera , likewise a grandchild of Mayor Alcantara.
