#ThrowbackThursday #TBT #onthisday This day in 2010 was a great day for Paul Nicholls as he scored at Ascot with two emphatic winners as firstly, Master Minded won the Amlin Chase by an astonishing sixteen lengths, putting wind and rib problems behind him. In the following race, the Ascot Hurdle, Silviniaco Conti was an impressive seven-length winner. Travelling well throughout, he moved up to challenge Albertas Run three fences from home and a proper battle looked set to ensue but as Master Minded ran down the fence slightly, Albertas Run clattered into it, giving Tony McCoy a nasty spill. That left Master Minded well clear of the field and Noel Fehily just had to pop him over the last two fences in the straight to run out a 16-length winner over Imsingingtheblues. Meanwhile, Silviniaco Conti was always travelling well as he tracked the leaders and moved into second place with four left to jump and soon took the lead before extending that lead with two left to jump before powering home to record an impressive victory.
