Thumbs up! 10+2 qualified to hold the citadels of seniority and pay-benefits is a logical catastrophe as far as the strategic scenario of the educational system in the valley in concerned! A chain of policy revokations and policy initiations resorted to by NC clearly outlines the desperation of the same to gain public confidence (vote bank) for the upcoming assembly elections at the cost of causing anomalies in the functioning of both the administration and the education departments. As an alternative to direct inclusion of ReTs, the same should be screened via an aptitude test (like SSRB aspirants were) followed by an interview test and subsequently, only those ReTs should be included that clear both the tests. However, this could not happen, partly, bcoz of corrupt vested interests and partly bcoz of the fact that hardly any ReT could crack the tests for their qualifications speak volumes about them.
