Josiah was also excited to get into the action with Sam and Colton assisting him around the yard with his wheelbarrow. Riley and Seth decided that they were going to be the “vegetable gardeners”. The boys explained that the vegetables must not be picked until they are ready and that they are going to make sure they are watered during outdoor play. Emu Room Update: The emu children have been very busy little helpers out in the yard this morning, helping the staff plant new flowers including cosmos, gaura, marigold and rockery flowers which are located in our new flower patch. Once the flowers were planted and watered some children enjoyed helping to spread the sugar cane mulch over the garden. In the pots in our yard we have planted some herbs including thyme, coriander, parsley and peppermint. The children helped to dig the holes using their shovels and planted the tiny seeds into the pots and then watered them in.
