Thursday 4th July, 2013 Text for today: Josh. 1:13 Labour is over, possess the land Wherever the sole of your feet shall step it has been given to you. Moses commanded the people to possess the land because God had given them rest from their labour. He gave them land they never laboured for. He showed His love to them by driving away the enemy from their own land and giving Israel the land of their enemy. God command His love towards us in that when we were sinners He died for us. His death brought restoration to us. The lost ground was recovered for you. He paid the price of restoration; He paysed the price for your rest. So rise from the position you have been tied and take your journey to your rest. Rest is for you. God is fighting your case because His promises are renewed every morning. Moses commanded the people and Joshua reechoed it. I am also reaffirming it that God is giving you rest and He has given you the land, so stop laboring. Seek the God of rest. It is time to rest and enjoy the fruit of the land. Prayer point God of rest, give me rest from all my labor. Action point Every child of God is qualified for rest, so don’t bargain for less. Seek the God of rest. Memorise Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:27) Rest is for you.
