Thursday Night Talk - Tala Mai, has this young lady seen what she thinks she has seen? Could there be a reasonable answer to this? Shes asking for your help.... what would you do? Dear NIU, My best friend and I go to the same church, weve been here since we were kids. Her parents are the treasurers and are well respected members of our congregation. My family helps out on Sundays with cleaning up and serving tea to our pastors and guests. Last week, I left my jacket in the kitchen area which is next to the office where my friends parents take our tithes to put in a banking bag and then to put in the church safe. I dont know why I looked into the window but I saw them opening the envelopes that families put their tithe in. At first I thought they must write down the offering amount in the church books and then put all the money together, but something about the way my friends parents were acting got me watching them longer. I wish I didnt. I saw them take money from about 10 different envelopes and then put that money into a new envelope and put their name on it and put it with the others and put it in the safe! So they were taking part of other peoples tithing and claiming them as their own. Im shocked! I havent told anyone because I dont know if I should. I cant tell my best friend because they are her parents. I cant tell anyone else at church because theyll gossip and it will get out. I dont want to tell my parents because we get along so well and I cant tell the Pastor because of what he might do. What would you do?
