With 15% shares.The National legislature as per constitution is to ratify all agreements, including concessions related to logging and other operations in Liberia and the shares by the speaker in a company whose contract must be ratified by the Legislature clearly shows a conflict of interest as provided in Article 90 a) of the constitution of Liberia.Article 90 a) of the 1986 Constitution of Liberia states “No person, whether elected or appointed to any public office, shall engage in any other activity which shall be against public policy, or constitute conflict of interest”. This company which has been awarded Forest Management Contract in Grand Gedeh doesnot have the required capacity. Why should speaker knowingly violate the Constitution?
