Thursday: any day now a grand jury is expected to return its decision on the indictment of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson over the shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown. The governor has declared a state of emergency, and cities across the nation are gearing up for protests. In Ferguson members of the KKK are threatening deadly force against protesters and gun sales in the region have shot up. But how are young people who have been at the forefront of what many are calling a new civil rights movement preparing and responding? We speak to Ashley Yates, Founder of Millennial Activist United one of the groups active on the ground in Ferguson And in Mexico City student groups have called a general strike in protest over government corruption sparked by the disappearance of 43 students in September. We speak to Mexico based journalist Laura Carlsen about the strike, and the prospects for real change in Mexico.
