Thursdays update: Sharing Sharon By Michael Johnson — 1 hour ago (10pm, Thursday) I read some comments today asking who I am and what my relationship is to Sharon. Im Sharons older, only brother, and we have two other sisters, Susan and Jennifer. We are all followers of Christ in a family of believers. We truly appreciate the love and prayers, the outpouring of the Spirit we have seen and felt since Sharon was struck down a little over a week ago. Ive met some of you, and I know many more of you through Sharons sharing with me over the years. I am so glad we worship a God who encourages our growth into His family by adding more and more relationship as we share our lives. Mark shared with me that he has found a nursing facility closer to home. He is waiting for her doctor to clear her for transportation. We anticipate she may be transported tomorrow, so that is our specific prayer request now. In all the reading and sharing with other people who have experienced this same situation (fortunately, theres not that many people who have), we understand the next stage of Sharons recovery is mostly waiting; waiting for her to come back, waiting for a sign, waiting. We know from others experience that she can hear us when we visit, and she can sense our presence. We know from knowing Sharon that God is with her wherever she is. From her perspective, there are no time boundaries. Multiple visits are like one moment followed by another without any sense that a day or a week has passed between visits. 2 Peter 3:8 - With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.
