Tiffany Nicole, aka Tiffy Toe, wrote this for us a few months ago. I just wanted to share with you, what an impact on life we make and oft times do not realize it. Thanks Tiff for sharing your thoughts. This was a short time before the farm house burnt. I wrote this for you............. I am from a tree lined driveway with cool shade on a hot summer day. I’m from a town where one way streets are a way of life and the courthouse is the center everything. From drinking hot tea in the morning while watching the sunrise and watching the sunset on the back deck with a glass of sweet tea. I am from long hallways and a farm filled with animals and a dog who was more like family greeting anyone at the door.. I am from the cherry tree in the backyard where I spent many summers learning to climb by falling down and getting back up again. I’m from Christmas Eve receiving a call Santa’s outside now go to sleep before he sees you’re awake. Where holidays have been spent around the same glass table for twenty years. Where laughter reaches every soul and loud and crazy is a way of life. I’m from a mother a father, a sister, a meme, two poppas one here on earth and one as angel by my side through every minute, an aunt, an uncle, and two cousins who are more like brothers than cousins. I’m from a poem that captivates love more than any expression ever heard. Sweetheart I thought you should know that someone’s thoughts go where you go. From hearing my own poem Tiffany is as her name suggest the finest of finest, best of best. I’m from spending Sunday mornings with family in the Calvary Temple Church of Fredericktown to afternoon lunch gathered round the same glass table. I’m from Irish, German, Cherokee Indian, French and mostly proud of all American backgrounds. From my momma’s homemade sweet tea to homemade popcorn flinging grease all over me. From my Meme’s wise words of wisdoms and sermons, that I used to ignore but now will respect and cherish forever. I’m from a hardworking family filled with business owners who work dusk till dawn. I am from summers spent with my family by the swimming pool. I am from winters spent huddled around a fireplace. I am from a blanket that has been by my side since a child made by the hardworking hands of my poppa. I am from a grandmother who will forever be my light and safe place to land. I am from a mother who has been a best friend and respected any of my decisions. Most importantly I’m from a family filled with love and laughter. 118Like ·
