Time & again it has amazed me, for potential natural gas leaks, be it a damaged appliance or a faulty connection, the local natural gas company at least here in the Northern Virginia area has the following advice to contact a qualified service personnel. Maybe applicable if in a single family home when the potential risk is solely to that structure but when it has the potential to cause significant damage & loss of life to others....maybe there should be a inspector/emergency contact to call when in a multi residential living space.
