Time for Grenadians to stop taking non-sense from persons stand firm and don’t let people take us for granted. I am baffled at the way in which persons think and act. As a proud citizen of Grenada for the past few weeks I was caught shaking my head on numerous occasions to comments made on social media and in public as to the hosting of two mega shows on Carnival Saturday night in St. Andrew’s Grenada, one in Moonlight City, La Portrie and the other in Progress Park Grenville. Sometimes I feel we as Grenadians need to wake up and stand up to the right and wrong way to approach situations being that we like it or not. I am a Fan of WITML and have attended shows in the past, I love the concept and the show also the artiste that are brought here ,unfortunately this year I won’t be attending either of the shows and I have my reasons why ,instead I will be going to a cook, lime with friends. I am disgusted by the comments made to persons on WITML pages and by members of their supporters, take note I am in no way making up anyone’s mind but putting clarity to the things we are blinded by as Grenadians. I have observed on many occasions , if comments are made about not going to the WITML show this year in Progress park, St.Andrew’s you will actually get cursed off on social media, at some cases direct or indirect comments are made calling persons all sorts of names. To me that is TOTALLY disrespectful and uncalled for to individuals who are just expressing their feelings and typing out their decisions which in some cases may not be the final decision. To me it feels as if I am not entitle to options as a Grenadian and I am not permitted to go to the other show or as they refer to it many times as “The Copy Cat Show” or the “Fake show” Pure White. I have a question on a comment that was made on WITML page about using their Colour “White”, does white belong to anyone? Can someone answer that for me.I will have to find out, then why was there a white out party on Friday 24th SMH. To me it sounds like they feel threatened by the Pure White show and believes that Carnival Saturday night is their own. Are we Grenadians since 2008 Blinded and consumed by the WITML show that we can’t do without it? Definitely not me lol. I have also learnt a few weeks ago that the Promoters of WITML are NOT living in Grenada and therefore we as Grenadians will not benefit from them in so many ways except to enjoy a great show. The Promoters of WITML will eat, drink, clothe, electric, water, gas, car note, mortgage in the United States or even the UK leaving us Grenadians here to struggle as we are currently doing. I am not mad at the show or shows neither anyone but the Gross disrespect to us Grenadian from some of the WITML supporters, if I choose to go to store A instead of Store B why are you upset? it is an option that I made. When their belly and pockets are filled and jump on a Plane right after Carnival saying bye bye sweet Grenada until NEXT AUGUST ;Carnival Saturday Night, to go shop and eat at Applebees and high end Restaurants in the City, we as Grenadians have to take this disrespect.
