Time for Ticket Tuesday – Want Two-Free Tickets to a Rubber Stamp Show put on by Rubber Stamp Events? Just answer an Easy Question and you might win! The winner from last week is Bonnie Brang! How often? 30% answered that they had sold some of their cards at some time – whether it was currently or in the past. Some of the stampers who sold cards said it helped support “their habit”. The places that stampers sold their cards varied – little general stores, local stores, hair salons, their mother-in-law’s apartment building, Bible study group, their office, floral shops, online, etc. Many who sold cards were custom ordered or special requests from family and friends. 15% answered that they donate their cards to different groups or organizations – church, nursing homes, there was one who donated to a group called Cards for a Cause which were sold in local stores and the money was then given to a Food Shelf. There was another mentioned that she donated to a church card ministry who sent cards to many different facilities like nursing homes, prisons, etc. I talked to one stamper at a show who did this and she made 20 cards a day just to keep up with it! Some answers were no, but they’d like to know how to go about doing that or that they had thought about it. Some said that it was too hard to put a price on it and could never get back what they had put into it. Some said they give many as gifts whether a few or in card packs as gifts or hostess gifts. Some answers were they didn’t want to sell them because it would take the fun out of a wonderful hobby. Some said it was too hard to keep up with the cards they need for themselves!
