Time for a quick update; Steves Dad here. Were sitting here at the Peace Arch hospital waiting for an ambulance to transfer Steven over to the Surrey Memorial Hospital. He was admitted here on Friday feeling weak and dehydrated. Drs found a secondary chest infection for which they began a new round of antibiotics. With no immunity to fight anything he really shouldnt be in the ICU. Hence the transfer to the infection control unit in Surrey. We were recently encouraged to learn that a medication recommended by a research Dr in Portland is FDA approved in Canada. Through a miraculous set of circumstances we managed to get ahold of it this past weekend. Steven is now on it. We are cautiously optimistic that it will not only replace his current maintenance chemo that does nothing to address his underlying Leukemia but begin to heal his marrow so recovery has a chance to occur. Steves condition is still very serious. In particular, he needs antibiotics to address an infection in his lung lining which causes him tremendous pain. He is also on other medications to address a fungal infection in his lungs. Constant nausea is also preventing him from eating for several days now. Steven is still believing with great faith. Daily he prays for Gods will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Come Kingdom of God. Give him this day his daily bread. And deliver him from the evil one. Thank you all for believing with us. Pray pray pray!!
