Greatest tools for better performance is to learn new techniques and methods: Background The Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) of Nepal Red Cross Society is a professional institute focused on furthering excellence in training and development. It provides defined criteria, standards and procedures for evaluation and optimization of training and development activities. HRDI is established by a NRCS with professional people having more than 10 years of experience in training and development sectors. The organisation offers networking opportunities through its five regions and provides training programs, conducts research, study and assists HRD professionals in developing skills. Overview of the Course This course will help those new to training to make an effective contribution to the training and development of others in a practical and systematic way. It will give trainers/participants the basic skills and knowledge needed as a foundation from which they can later develop the specialist skills of identifying training needs, design, delivery and evaluation. Gain a practical, how-to overview of the entire training function. Through modeling of the best practices and latest techniques in training delivery, discover the 4Ps of training: Purpose & Assessment, Planning & Preparation, Presentation & Facilitation, and Performance & Evaluation. She is a senior facilitator of Human Resource Management Department. She is recognized national facilitator of Leadership Capacity Development Training, PHAST and First Aid. She is expert in IEC material production. She has wide practical experience in community development, public relations, administration and training. She has over 15 years experience in training and development. She obtained Master degree in Economics. • Mr. Akarshan Pradhan, Director: Facilitator He provides management and administrative support to all department of Nepal Red Cross Society in aspect of management development. He is the director of Human Resource Management Department. He has wide practical experience in organizational, management, project management, training and development, human resource management and strategic management. He has over 30years experience in management, administration and training development. He obtained Master degree in Library and Information Science and Diploma in NVQ Level. • Mr. Mukti Pokhrel, Deputy Director: Facilitator He is the experienced facilitator of NRCS in the different area such as First Aid, WASH, Life Skills, ToT. School Led Total Sanitation (SLTS), Ignition Participatory Rural Appraisal (IPRA), and Emergency WASH, WASH in school and PHAST. He is the Deputy Director of NRCS Junior Youth Department. He has more than 24 years experience in program planning, implementing, monitoring. He obtained his Master degree in two subject Education (Curriculum and Evaluation) and Economics (Rural). • Mr. Anil Maharjan, Training Officer: Facilitator He is experienced facilitator of NRCS in the field of quality management and assurance, donor motivation, project management, monitoring and evaluation and training and development. He is a training officer of Human Resource Management Department. He is recognized national facilitator of Quality Management and Assurance, Donor Motivation & Monitoring and Evaluation. He is expert in Monitoring and Evaluation. He has wide practical experience in monitoring and evaluation, public health management and training. He has over 15 years experience in quality management and training and development.
