Time is running out to legislate a law that will institutionalize reforms in the SK to strengthen it and insulate it from factors that may defeat its original purpose of empowering the youth and addressing youth issues. If Congress fails to pass an SK reform law, it would seem that we have missed the opportunity to correct the flaws in the SK. And its implications? The SK (in general) will continue to host political families and pursue misdirected projects. If Congress fails to pass an SK reform law, they might just abolish it altogether. And we do not like that, because we recognize the vital role of the youth in politics and nation-building. What can we do then?
