Time to start rocking the boat a little Looks like there are starting to be a few more photographers in the area who are starting to feel the pain of being ignored by models of all levels. Why? Well some claim they never got the message. Why? Cause they have so many horny SOBs on their friends list messaging them, they just never check them anymore. Why? Because they feel that adding everyone who requests them is the way to network and to get noticed. Yep, noticed by every horny SOB out there! Ladies, besides all the lewd, crude comments and all the likes they give you on your photos, what else do they do for ya? Boost your ego?(Photographers aint much better sometimes). Fellow shooters, if youre sending messages to models (any level) and not getting replies (after they read them or not) unfriend them! Figure out a time frame that you feel is reasonable and then unfriend them! Ill tell you right now when a model starts seeing fewer and fewer posts from photographers and she wonders why, shell message them and THEN she will see the previous attempts to be contacted and MAY figure it out. Lets face it, if you dont matter enough for her to take a minute to reply, then she aint worth it. If a model wants to shoot, she will make herself accessible, if she just wants to PLAY model, she wont be a loss. Models~ I am not making this statement to be mean, rude, an ass or in any way be a jerk towards any of yall. If you have THAT many fans proposing to ya, then you need to thin them out so those who are wanting to work with you have a way to contact you. Many of you are missing out on several opportunities for either paid or portfolio work. Make a Fanpage and direct them there. Add some other form of contact options. Make yourself available to be contacted or at least make it known of what your modeling status is so no one will waste their time trying to contact you only to be ignored and then thinking like I do... rude ass... bye! I personally removed several models and a few I considered friends for precisely that reason. Got a few more that are fixing to find themselves gone here in the next day or two. All we as photographers ask for is a little consideration. Many of us may not be the big shots other claim to be but a reply would be the proper thing to do. Yes or no or not at this time. ANYthing is better than nothing. I do invite anyone on either side of the camera to chime in if they want. Pro or Con to my remarks. I feel everyone is entitled to express their thoughts and opinions on this matter, in open forum. Speak up and be heard
